The Professional DBA

There are many great sites out there, providing great references and outstanding code! I don’t know of a solid DBA that hasn’t benefited from what Tom Kyte, Pete Finnegan, Eddie Awad, Arup Nanda, along with the fine folks at Oracle WTF, PSOUG, and too many more to list! However, while there are a wealth of resources to help a DBA do what they want to do, there are few sites that help a DBA determine what should be, and needs to be done. Along with the skill set progression from Junior, to Senior, to Lead DBA there should be a parallel progression in insight, innovation, and vision. This is a niche that I’m going to strive to address and provide for the community with this blog.
